Following the success of the 2024 edition, which saw 29 participating classes and 1,211 record cards received, Atmo Normandie is pleased to announce the return of The International minute of scents on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at 10:06 AM.
The International minute of scents transforms our perception of the olfactory world. Through this event, Atmo Normandie invites you to explore, experience, and share your impressions, fostering an immersive and unifying awareness. This collective sensory experience restores the importance of scents in our daily lives. Whether in France or abroad, everyone is encouraged to take part in this olfactory adventure.

In 2025, the event highlights an essential cause : diagnosing and supporting anosmia in children. This often-overlooked olfactory disorder affects their daily lives, safety, and relationship with the world.
Did you know that two-thirds of olfactory disorders in children are congenital ? Yet, this condition remains largely understudied. Without a sense of smell, a child may struggle to associate memories with emotions, impacting their cognitive and emotional development.
That is why we invite you to take a minute and let your nose tell a story.
A sensory and writing experience accessible to all
Participating is simple and open to everyone: just step outside, alone or with others, walk, and use your nose. As soon as you detect a scent, describe it on a record card (10x15 cm format).
It doesn’t matter what the scent is—pleasant or unpleasant, strong or subtle, familiar or surprising. You are free to express it in your own words, through sensations, emotions, or memories… and in any language! Even if you don’t perceive any scent, you can write about that experience too.
